Session Bass:
Tom has now appeared on numerous CDs as a session bassist.
His skills as a musician are complimented by his enthusiasm
for new projects. He's worked with some of the finest local
talent in Boston and, despite Tom's amiable and easy nature,
he does not want for professional acuity.

Jingle Writing:
If the persistence of spontaneous audience sing-alongs don't
convince you that Tom can deliver a catchy tune, nothing
will. And if not nothing, maybe the "Jim Show Jim"
theme song (download
approx. 3.46 MB) can help you decide.

Tom's artistry on my record has been fundamental
to our record's "sound". He didn't overplay at all
on the record, but rather filled out the music and
laid back, only stepping out when needed. And trust
me, when he needed to step out, he did it with confidence,
ease, and technical prowess. I would recommend Tom
Bianchi without reservation for any studio project
needing a good dose of skill, professionalism, understanding,
and, of course, a sense of humor.

It took about two seconds before I knew who to
ask to play bass on my new album... Tom's talent and
attention to each song made our all-day recording
session easy, enjoyable, and a true pleasure. He was
able to make the songs really take shape, and the
final product far exceeded my expectations. Oh yeah,
super nice guy, too!

Tom is a great bass player, easy to work with, a
wonderful attitude, phat sound, funky as hell, has
wheels, and sings his ass off - what more can you
ask for?

Tom plays the bass better than any other Tom I know!
I've seen other bass players, but they're usually
overshadowed by other guys in the band... Tom doesn't
even NEED a band. He can make music all by himself.

Tom's humor and incredible improvisational abilities
make him stand out as one the best entertainers around.
But beyond the funny guy is a serious musician with
sharp skills and a great ear. His rich, melodic bass
playing significantly compliments the music whether
he's doing his originals or accompanying another artist.
(He's also the only guy I know who looks cool in suspenders.)

Tom B. hmmm oh yeah, I remember that guy. Clients
would hear his tracks and ask me how'd ya get THAT
sound, my answer? It's in his fingers... no man, I
mean what amp, mic etc. I repeat, it's in his fingers.
I know tone, Tom has that tone. Simple. He knows what
to play and when to lay out... someday we'll forgive
him for moving to Boston.

Working with Tom is a pleasure. He comes in prepared
and with a great attitude. He gets the job done efficiently.
His bright and humorous personality shines through
his melodic ideas and simple phrasing. As a producer
I look for this breed of musician to make my job easier
and to bring out the best in the song-writers music.
Tom succeeds in doing this 100%.

Someday audio engineers will clone the perfect
session musician and it will probably be a lot like
Tom... minus the penchant for bumblebee colored clothes.
Tom is as easy going as they come and all business
when laying down tracks. He knows the role of his
instrument and plays for the song, not for himself.
He smells good, too.
